If you are here, you’re probably curious about how to start your own photography website. Well, I’m going to make this short and sweet for you. I’m not going to go into great detail, I will only be providing the places to go.
First, you need to set up a host to get your domain name. You probably want a normal www.whatever.com domain name, so its good to get your domain through a host company. I recently purchased mine through http://www.hostgator.com . It costs about $9 per month for hosting if you purchase the yearly plan and around $13 a year for the domain name. Their are numerous hosts out there, so do your homework on which one suits your idea best.
Second, decide which website you want to use in order to set up your blog, website or business. The great thing about hostgator.com is that it ties right into http://www.wordpress.com, which is a great site for beginning your own site. Word press has just about everything you need to set up the website of your dreams.
Third, Choose a theme out of the hundreds of themes available through wordpress.com and begin setting up your website! This is truly the quick and dirty on what is involved with setting up your website. Their are numerous options out there, but these tend to be very good places to start.
